Stanley launches their new Messi x Stanley 1913 collection of athlete focussed tumblers with this evocative, emotional and cinematic film staring Messi.
The spot uses Mate, the official drink of Argentina and a beverage closely tied to Messi’s past, as a nostalgic narrative trigger to journey through the memories of the sporting icon.
We follow his family history, his life as a young boy, his burgeoning football career, through to Barcelona and his ascension to becoming the iconic athlete and role model he is today.
The film employs a graphic, collage-like approach to explore Messi’s cultural and familial history, unitising archive footage and still imagery, sourced, licensed and cleared by STALKR.
This is the latest in a number of spots that STALKR has collaborated on starring the legendary footballer. Previous work includes two Gatorade ads, and celebrated “Unfollow Messi” and “Creating Magic” films for adidas.
