We are honored to once again be nominated at the Focal International Awards for Samsung’s “The Curve Changes Everything.”
The Focal International Awards celebrate achievement in the use of footage in all variety of genres, across all media platforms plus its restoration. While we will have to wait until the gala this May in London for an announcement on the win, let’s dissect the Stalkr approach to this nominee.
“The Curve Changes Everything” arrived on Stalkr’s desk from 72andSunny, who challenged our team to convey an open-ended story that was continuing to find its shape every day. We pulled together a team of twenty skilled creative researchers to source scripts referencing “the curve” among other key words.
From something as simple as the word “curve,” we were able to source thousands of scripts and clips, simultaneously tackling the logistics of licensing that footage from studios and other holders in what was a you’d-have-to-have-seen-it-to-believe-it timeline. Those curated selection of filmed footage provided the foundation for the story that the 72and Sunny creatives, acclaimed director Rian Johnson, Academy Award winner Claudio Miranda and gifted editorial team brought into the Samsung’s luxurious Curved UHD TV displays for your viewing pleasure.
Everyone enjoys a good filmed montage; give “The Curve Changes Everything” a view and see how many clips you can spot that you’ve recognized.
