FOCAL International in association with AP Archive announced the shortlist for their 13th annual awards honoring the best use of footage across genres and platforms, and STALKR has landed three nominations.
STALKR Executive Producer Colleen Cavanaugh Anthony and Producer Alexis Owens are one of three finalists for the Jane Mercer Footage Team of the Year Award. Our skilled producers have been cited for their incredible work throughout Academy Award winner The Big Short, the opening credit sequence for Transparent, and the below-nominated “Tagline Here” for MTV.
In the category of Best Use of Footage in an Advert or Short Production, we received two out of the three finalist nominations! Our brand spot for MTV entitled “Tagline Here” produced by Alexis Owens incorporated 35 shots from filmmakers all over the world to define a cohesive and intoxicating brand message for MTV in a modern (and future) world.
MTV competes against our own Gatorade “Heritage” spot produced by Aaron Priest, which celebrated 50 years of the sport drink favorite with 50 iconic sports moments from Michael Jordan winning his sixth NBA title to Serena’s 24 Aces to Peyton Manning’s MVP in Super Bowl XLVI to the final mile of the Boston Marathon.
STALKR previously took home the FOCAL Award for Best Short Production in 2013 for “Exposing The Truth”, a PSA conceived, directed and produced by STALKR to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the human rights organization, WITNESS.
This year’s winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Ceremony on May 26th in London. View the full shortlist here.
