Kailash Satyarthi’s 2014 Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech sets the vocal backdrop to this compelling and heartfelt video.
Kailash is an Indian children’s rights and education advocate, who has worked to end child slavery and child labor through his Children’s Foundation. After 35 years of working tirelessly to fight for children, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 alongside Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzi for his “struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.”
A selection of that speech provides the narration for this two minute and twenty second video, paired with footage of children from around the world. Katarina Horrox from STALKR contributed time to sourcing donated footage from STALKR filmmakers that perfectly complement Kailash’s worthy and impactful words.
The Children’s Foundation’s stated mission is “to create, implement, and advocate child-friendly policies that ensure the holistic development and empowerment of children worldwide.” Read more on the organization here, and be sure to watch and share the video above.
