We first worked with Chris Pritchard on an Intel campaign years ago and have continued to seek opportunities for collaboration ever since.
His stunning timelapse work is the subject of a new film selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick last week entitled “Skylight.” Chris compiled shots over a span of five and a half years from New York to LA to New Zealand to Illinois to Singapore to Sydney and beyond to give voice to the one constant across locations: the sky. “No matter our lifestyle or surroundings, we all share the same world above us. The sky holds the power to make a good view great, ant to mesmerize us with the wonders of the world – within our atmosphere and beyond,” the filmmaker elaborates on his site.
The film runs just over three minutes but in fact it covers 36 hours of real-life time shot in 42 locations. Across locations it captures an incredible meteor and shows the star scape in even the most unlikely of places (like the pollution-heavy sky around Los Angeles). Prepare to be awestruck when you watch the film above.
