Following Migration Patterns with Verizon and Wieden+Kennedy

07 15 2015

Our latest spot for Verizon provides a humorous take on the migration patterns of birds courtesy of creative from Wieden+Kennedy.

Whereas your typical nature video offers humdrum narration of this evolutionary phenomenon, Verizon gives us another take – perhaps these birds are just as tired of buffering as you are.

To pull off the satire, we combed through mountains of footage from the largest archival library in the world: the BBC. The BBC is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and perhaps the best-oiled machine of a licensable content library. We’ve been sourcing footage from the depths of their offline film caverns since before the days of Vimeo, so we were excited to challenge ourselves again with finding the perfect visual notes for the spot.

And much is the case with the best of our work, you would never guess how many hundreds of hours went into hunting the ideal creative footage to tell this story. Enjoy!
